  Join us for a family friendly river cleanup on April 19th, 2025! Cleaning up the banks and bottom of the Spokane River is a great way to volunteer, get some exercise, and meet new friends. It also helps our river!

  Each year for Earth Day we remove about 8,000 pounds of trash from High Bridge and People’s Park. This trash that otherwise could end up in our river, damaging fish and wildlife, breaking down into microplastic, and is just plain ugly!

  We will kick off at 10AM and be in the park until about 1PM—feel free to come and go as you like! Bags, gloves, and a limited number of pickers will be provided. Once you have your supplies, you can choose where you’d like to clean up throughout the area.

  What to Bring and Wear:

  • Wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather.

  • Bring sunscreen, gloves, and a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated while you work.

  Let’s work together to protect and restore the Spokane River! We can’t wait to see you there.

  42nd Annual MG Car Club Tulip Rallye

  MG's Tulip Rallye is back after going on hiatus during the pandemic. It's a gimmick rallye utilizing a scavenger hunt questionnaire in lieu of speed to complete the rallye.

  Our club was invited to have a lightshow at the end of the rallye like our impromptu one last year. If you'd like to participate, please register on our website at Rallye/Lightshow, so I can give the organizer a head count to save parking for us.

  For more details about the rallye, go to the MG Car Club website. Download this form, TOWA MG Rallye Form, to register and details about how to pay your registration fee. It's $25 early registration, plus a suggested $5 donation for the Food Lifeline.

  9:30 am - Driver Meeting

  9:45 am - First cars start

  I suggest bringing a clipboard and pen or pencil for your navigator to write the answers on your scavenger hunt form.

  Once you pay your registration fee (per car) with a check or PayPal and emailing your registration form to the MG Club, please RSVP here on this event so I know to expect you at the rallye. Let me know how many people will be in your car with in case we want to go to lunch afterward. Thanks!

  near Reardan. This stop requires a Discover Pass for parking. Following this stop we will continue to 

  Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge

  26010 South Smith Road Cheney, WA 99004-9326. Turnbull Refuge Visitor Contact Station has information about the Refuge and area.

  We will then return to Spokane. Both stops have short trails for those that want to walk around for better viewing.

  Please join us at Spokane's beautiful Upper Manito Park to talk about Tesla!  We would like to open this event to non-members that may be interested in buying a Tesla but may have a few lingering questions.  We plan to setup south of the Upper Manito playground in the shaded area of the trees.  Look for the TOWA/Tesla flags, Tesla traffic cones, miniature red Radio Flyer Model S and free donuts.  We should be within close proximity of the playground and splash-pad for any families with children.   This is far south side of Manito park for those unfamiliar.  We will try to take over the local parking lot with Teslas but space is very limited.  

  For anyone planning to attend that is interested in seeing any specific version of a Tesla - please email me at ne-lead@teslaownerswa.org and I will see if we can coordinate for that type to be there.

  Electrify Expo Booth Volunteer Opportunity

  Would you like to participate in spreading the word about our club, share your experience driving an EV, or help increase our membership? Volunteering at our booth at the Electrify Expo could be the opportunity you're looking for. There are two sessions available Saturday and Sunday, plus setup on Friday.

  Volunteers will receive an Exhibitor wristband that will get you free admission both Saturday and Sunday for one person and one parking pass in the exhibitors parking lot. You will need to pick it up from Theresa at her house Friday night.

  Friday - 7/18 - 10am to 2pm for initial setup

  Saturday - 7/19 - All Day

  Saturday - 7/19 - 9am to 1:30pm  

  Saturday - 7/19 - 1:30pm to 6pm 

  Sunday - 7/20 - All Day

  Sunday - 7/20 - 9am to 1:30pm
